Hello lovely people,
We are still on top of the world here in Grove City, we have had our ups and our downs this week but all is well that ends well and life is still Good.
Highlight of the week was definitely exchanges with our Sister Training Leaders. One of my favorite parts of being a missionary is being surrounded by so many other talented, brought, driven individuals who came out to serve with me. I love learning from them, following their examples, and just feeling good that there are so many awesome people in our generation. This transfer Sister Farmer and I decided that since we were both probably leaving (She is getting "transferred" back to Utah, #sheisgoinghome #denial and I should be headed out of Scioto unless President decides to round me out at a solid 9 months in Scioto) we would let the junior companions fix Scioto up and we would run wild in Marble Cliff. I guess we didn't run wild, we were effective missionaries, we taught lessons, almost bible bashed but did no such thing, prepared someone for baptism, and she taught me all of her wise ways one last time. We decided that since I've spent at least one exchange with her in Marble cliff for the last three transfers we are basically companions. I am honored to be counted In The midst of people who she helped become awesome missionaries like her. It was great, she kicked my butt, showed me
what I could work on, but also helped me see what I am good at. She's a champ, I love her desire to be better, her obedience to Preach My Gospel, and her willingness to be who she is and not look back. She will be missed, but we still get two more weeks with her so yasssss ✌🏻️❤️😊
We also got to visit almost the bottom of our area. To drive from our Church at the to of our area, to the bottom of our boundaries would take at least 1.5 hours. This week we drove 1 hour to Williamsport a tiny VILLAGE. There were couple streets, a Family Dollar, two churches and a park in the center of town. The closest Walmart was 25 miles away in a small town Circleville nearby. It was fun to talk to everybody and everyone was so willing to talk! We spent 2 hours there and only got to knock on 8 doors because at each house we had such go lessons with each of them. Not all of them welcomed us back but it was nice to be able to plant those seeds and see the faith that others have in Christ.
We also got a myriad of car problems fixed. Oh and had an awesome spiritual experience with a member of our church at dinner last night. My testimony was strengthened by the things she shared with us. I know that when we share things we can help others feel that same spirit and I would encourage each of you to take or make time in your day to share those things you know with people who may need it around you!
The spiritual thought of the week comes from the Book of Mormon. In 1 Nephi 3:7 it says
7 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.
Heavenly Father will give us all things to do that we do not always understand. Nephi teaches us here that he will always give us a way to accomplish them. Life is about finding the things the Lord wants you to do, and going forth and DOING them. I have been the happiest in my life not when I learn about something the Lord wants me to do, but when I go and DO IT. Make some time this week to go and do something you have been neglecting. The more willingness to obey we show the Lord, the more direction he will give us.
I love you all, keep your heads up and stay out of the cold. Thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes. Have a stellar week
