Things you should know

Excerpts from an email to Mum...

Answers to your previous questions:

How are you?
Well, currently I am sitting at ChickFilA waiting for a member to come with her friend so she can buy us lunch and we can talk about the gospel with them. I guess my life is pretty swell!

What conditions are you living in? What is your apartment like?
We've got a pretty nice place, 2 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms, a giant kitchen. I wish our study room had a cooler desk but there's lots of space for me to roll around on my bouncy exercise ball so life is good!

What do you eat for lunch?
Usually a PB sandwich or Mac and cheese or some random food a member dropped off in our fridge.

What do you do if you are out knocking on doors and you have to pee?
I find a door with an active or less active member or investigator behind it and pray that they answer. We actually have had some inspired bathroom stops since Sister Williams has to pee every 5 seconds and she's gotten us into a lot of less actives houses so I can talk to them while she uses their facilities #awkwardmissionarymoments

Are people mean to you?
Yes, most of the time they think we are jehovahs witnesses so they are very sarcastic and rude, then I politely remind them we are LDS missionaries and then they smile talk to us more but are still not interested. I haven't had any guns pulled on us yet so no worries but rude people are everywhere.

What should we send in missionary packages to the missionaries in our
ward from the YW for Thanksgiving?
Missionaries love mints, cool pens or stationery, any little gospel trinkets they can hand out to kids or investigators (pics of Jesus or temples or copies of the family proclamation), inspirational talks, post it notes, candy is always good, most of all I think we love info. Encourage the YW to write the missionaries, tell them about what they are studying or their testimony, tell them about how the ward is, ask them gospel questions. We love info from the people we love at home!!
