#MondayWillCome

Things you should know about Missionaries; there are some weeks we just live Monday to blessed Monday. I am a firm believer that everyone needs a preparation day. So feel free to take time out of your week to relax and prepare yo self this week lovely people.

This week was pretty swell. Highlights include, finally meeting with Miah again. He is one of our golden friends we found at the beginning of our stay here. He had a lot of family issues to sort through so he disappeared but we met with him again this week. He expressed a desire to know truth so we boldly and lovingly challenged him to pray. He said the best prayer I have ever heard in my life during his lesson and promised to pray for more help in the week to come. He also promised to come watch conference with us.  We sticky notes his door, called him, and the sincere prayers for him were real but he didn't show. I am super close to hitting him over the head with a spiritual 2x4 but my loving companions are going to hold me back. He is so close to finding what he NEEDS in his life, but will not leap... #thefrustrationisreal we will probably have to drop him this week if he does not come to church, hopefully the seeds we have sown in his heart will sprout soon, we shall see πŸ€”

We also had an awesome Lesson with a new investigator named Lisa and her Friend Rich yesterday after conference. They are both open to many spiritual ideas. We talked about truth and how to discover it. We invited them to read the Book of Mormon and come to church. They were hesitant to commit to church but loved the Book of Mormon. Also they gave us cute Easter candy from a great candy shop so they are cool in our books πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Oh and yeah, General Conference happened...

YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS General Conference happened people. We heard literal words of God from
his servants the prophet. We get 4 new temples. We got a new Primary Presidency (😒Bye Sister Wixom ✌🏻️❤️) And don't even get me started on Elder Holland's talk...(when I heard he was the closing speaker I literally threw my hands up ✌🏻in praise in the chapel✌🏻️, we were the only ones watching besides the Elders/Men missionaries) I reviewed my conference notes this morning. I found the main theme throughout was basically, small and simple things we can do to build our foundation of faith in Christ. We heard about Service from the General Women's session, and from a few of the speakers on Sunday. We heard about listening to the Holy Ghost and keeping him with us at all times from many of the apostles. We heard about the importance of realizing our divine nature (We are LITERAL CHILDREN OF GOD people). We heard about making small important decisions every day. We heard about how to over come trials. We heard that obedience to God's commandments can help us uncover who we really are.  Each of these are small things we can do every single day of our lives. Our lives are defined by the small choices we make every day and like President
Thomas S Monson said, "If we choose Christ we will ALWAYS be right." I feel like a lot of times when people of any authority speak we expect something new and shiny and earth shattering. A famous formula for peace, happiness and success. The leaders of Christ's church were quick to point out that we already have that formula. It was given to
us by a perfect man who walked the earth 2,000 years ago. He was a perfect leader because he was the best follower. He taught by example and if we pattern our lives after him we can have more than we could have ever imagined. Just like the people of Moses learned so long ago all we need to do is "look to Him and live" every single day. Go read the words of the prophets, (https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2016/04?lang=eng) they are full of safety and peace. Rejoice in your faith. Be grateful for the things you have in your life. If you are looking for more answers and truth, don't be afraid to look in the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints.
