Sometimes we have fun

Hey!

So this week has been a long week full of sitting and learning. We had soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many meetings. Well, I guess it was only 3 in a row, but one of them was 8 hours of weekly planning so it was a little bit painful. BUT all of it was helpful! We also heard from some of the modern day apostles in a worldwide devotional from missionaries. We all got really excited when we heard they were pulling all 85,000 missionaries from across the world in to listen to to them at the same timeish. We were expecting some big huge announcement, or new things. Guess what, there was nothing new. The broadcast was all about teaching repentance and baptizing converts. We studied every inch of Preach My Gospel and the scriptures.

That is where my spiritual though of the day comes from. A lot of us are looking around for something new, something big, something good to help us get through life. Well... It's already here. We have centuries worth of advice from God written in books of scripture. We have modern day prophets and apostles who make it possible to get answers but those answers are always the same. Read your scriptures, go to church, say your prayers! Heavenly Father has given us so many commandments already that will help us be happy if we just follow them. This week do the little things. Don't look for the latest and greatest things, go back to the basics. Here's a quote from my favorite Apostle Elder Jospeh B Wirthlin,

"An old proverb states that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Sometimes we make the process more complicated than we need to. We will never make a journey of a thousand miles by fretting about how long it will take or how hard it will be. We make the journey by taking each day step by step" (One Step After Another, October 2001)

Grove City is good! We talk to so many people every day and we have been working hard to find those people who are ready. Keep your heads up, don't be afraid of trekking out into the snow for the people you 

love, and don't do anything stupid on the roads.
