Happy New Year Crazy Kids!!!
I rang in the The New Year here in Grove City with a rousing marathon of The District (a really cheesy, but semi helpful show created by the church to help us know how to be effective missionaries) and The Testaments (a REALLY cheesy film rendition of Christ's life through the New Testament, and the Book of Mormon) on our comfy couch. Sister Chadwick got sick so we had to spend the evening in. She's better now. Nobody panic.
This week we basically talked to everyone. Everyone on the streets. Everyone in their houses. Everyone walking their dogs. Everyone. We met a few really cool people. Danica is an atheist. We had a really nice conversation about how she came to her own conclusions, but she agreed to look into the Book of Mormon. I love when people do that! As missionaries we are representatives of Jesus Christ. We're not looking to have hoards of Mormons because we think we are cool. We are looking to help people come to know more about Christ!
We taught the Young Women in church yesterday. We had a really nice lesson about the Fact that we are all Children of God. I love that we raise our youth with that concept of divine nature. We are each Children of God, he knows us, and he LOVES US. We just have to reach out to him.
Life is good. I will leave you all with the Scripture of the week: 1 Nephi 17:13
13 And I will also be your light in the wilderness; and I will prepare the way before you, if it so be that ye shall keep my commandments; wherefore, inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall be led towards the promised land; and ye shall know that it is by me that ye are led.
This is the Lord talking to Nephi and his family promising them that their future is even brighter than their past because of his light. If
Love,
