Hey Crazy Kids (and by Crazy Kids I mean beloved fellow sons and daughters of God),
Another 3 days in the life of Sister Reynolds have come to pass. Yup. They were pretty average; except for the fact that Sister Williams is basically dying from an assortment of physical symptoms of stress and left our phone somewhere on the side of the road on a random side road in the corner of Colombus... But that's a story for another time.
It has been one of those weeks where Heavenly Father has been hitting me over the head with a topic quite forcefully. Luckily the topic was charity or LOVE so it was a nice topic at least (not repentance or diligence) Sister Corbett left last week and while I was reflecting on our short but fantastic 6 weeks together I decided that the most impactful thing she taught me was how to truly love people. Whenever I walked away from an interaction with her I always knew that I had a long way to go in my work towards powerhouse missionary work, but I knew that she loved me and would help me get there and WANTED to see me succeed. This has been true of all of the amazing examples of leadership in my life, President and Sister Daines, My other Sister Training Leaders, teachers in school and church, young women leaders etc. I loved learning from them because I knew they loved me. Our modern day prophet Thomas S Monson reminds us that " Love is the very essence of the Gospel." In one of his past conference talks. The Savior himself taught by example and through loving others. When we come from a place of love; those who we are trying to help will come to love us as well and feel that love we have for them that comes from Heavenly Father. Basically my challenge this week is to love those around you. Go give someone a hug, or tell them they are awesome at singing. Just remind them that you are thinking of them and you will make their day I promise!
It's a short one today, but I promise my heart is filled with love for all of you. I hope all is well on the home fronts and you are all getting stoked for Holiday Season!!
